📈 Positional Strategies

Weeks to months — follow macro trends

Long-timeframe trades built on weekly charts, macro data, or sector rotation. Fewer decisions, larger moves, more room for the thesis to play out.

1

Moving with Macro trends

Weekly-chart trades aligned with broader economic themes (rate cycle, sector rotation, election cycles). Long holding periods; use trailing stops on the weekly chart.

2

Supertrend + RSI (positional)

Weekly Supertrend for direction; daily RSI for timing entries. Enter only when weekly Supertrend is bullish AND daily RSI recovers from oversold. Trail the weekly Supertrend as stop.

Multi-timeframe Weekly + Daily
3

Sectoral analysis

Rank sectors by relative strength (Bank Nifty vs Nifty, IT vs Nifty). Buy the leading sector's top constituents; short the laggards. Rotate quarterly as leadership shifts.

4

M & W patterns with RSI

Identify double-top (M) or double-bottom (W) patterns on the weekly chart. Confirm with RSI divergence at the second peak/trough. Enter on the neckline break; target the pattern height.
